I love Home Exchange! I have been a member for 3 years in which time I've swapped homes to stay in Denmark, Switzerland, France, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada as well as closer to home places like Washington DC, New York City and Boston. My favorite things about Home Exchange: 1. We get to experience wonderful new locations for just the cost of airfare. I can dine out or cook in the home to make it as affordable as home. 2. We get to literally live like a local since we are staying in a local's home. 3. Your exchanger is like your personal concierge (and you are theirs)! We give each other tips for great places to go and things to do. But are also easily available during your stay to answer questions you may have about the home, appliances, or even where to get a metro card etc. It's like you have a knowledgeable friend every place you visit. 4. I have gone places I never would have thought of on my own. I've had people reach out to me from places that probably wouldn't have crossed my mind without the request and have just tried it and loved it! 5. Flexibility of Simultaneous Reciprocal Exchanges, Non-Simultaneous, and Guest Points. My most recent adventure involved using all 3! I spent 2 weeks in Chardonne, Switzerland (one of those places I hadn't heard of before, but absolutely loved it). The couple had stayed at our beach condo in April and we went to their home in July. After we had accepted the Swiss exchange, a family from Nice, France asked for a simultaneous exchange in August, so I wondered how far apart the two places were. I found a 3 hour direct train from Chardonne to Lyon, France and then a 3 hour direct train from Lyon to Nice. So I reached out to some homes in Lyon for an guest points exchange and got one for a lovely 4 day stop over! What a great 5 weeks in Europe using all 3 ways! 6. We get to stay longer than we ever would if we were paying a nightly rate so we can really explore an area rather than just the greatest hits tour. We had a family from Paris ask to do a 3 month exchange. It was wonderful! We saw so much of Paris that we never would have in a short visit or even a long vacation. When our hosts saw a post about something going on in Paris they thought we'd like, she'd send us a note to go check it out and we did! 7. Which brings us to one of the other wonderful things about Home Exchange. You make friends with people all over the world! 8. Everyone is so respectful of your home. We have rented out our beach condo with VRBO or AirBnB and there is much more wear and tear from these paid guests than from the friends who share your home on Home Exchange. Okay, I know that was long, but really it could be even longer! Best thing ever! Try it! Below are pics of our home exchange adventures over the last year alone!

HomeExchange is a safe, reliable, well organized, City/Homeowner Association acceptable program, (unlike other home stays - and will remain nameless - that use money to exchange aka rent and are often not allowed by Homeowner Associations in many US cities due to pressure and power of hotel lobbies). HomeExchange offers the opportunity to exchange with someone who will care for your home with the same diligence they wish you to cared for theirs. They will want you to enjoy visiting their home-area as much as you want them to enjoy yours. This personal experience is unique to HomeExchange. Of course there is a way to have flexibility in property exchanges by using the well thought out point exchange system. Please go to the website and see the program and ask your questions direct.

HomeExchange, something we daily talk about because we love adventures, traveling and people. We already made so many unique holidays by using our guestpoints or simultaneous exchanging homes. We love to welcome guests from all over the world and make friends in so many different countries. Everyday we get a Mail from our homeExchange app - with new houses or new availabilities or someone asking for an exchange. I love to take some minutes every day to think about a new adventure, a new place to visit, a new possibility to enjoy my beautiful family 😃 Without homeExchange we could never have dreamed about making vacations with three kids in so many awesome places and still have enough money to go to restaurants. I really love this invention 🫶

We have been members of HE for 7 years and finished 83 exchanges so far. We are so glad we have signed up. This is the absolute best way to travel. Not only do you save thousands of dollars but you get to experience living the way the locals live. You get all the tips from your hosting family on where to go and what to see. We have stayed in many beautiful homes with ocean views, swimming pools. Used HE the entire winter last year for local skiing. I don't understand why anyone would not sign up. It's been amazing for our family.

The team at HomeExchange were amazing in helping us solve a cancellation for a month’s holiday in Whistler. We already had flights paid for and were stuck finding accom at a peak period there. Mandy persisted on our behalf and managed to secure replacement swaps for our whole holiday. Thank you . Your support was amazing and we are here now enjoying the snow from the comfort of one of our community.

We have been enthusiastic members of homeexchange.com for almost nine years - after being encouraged to join by friends, who had been long standing members - enjoying and planning some forty amazing, high-end travel experiences across the world, for the price of an airfare and a little effort! From an Art Deco penthouse next to the Chrysler building in Manhattan with an enormous roof terrace, to a restored and repurposed medieval watchtower in Umbria with a pool - unique opportunities and such generous hospitality, way beyond our pockets had they been rentals. For us, making the very personal decision to share our home with strangers - also fortunate enough to be able to offer beautiful homes in extremely desirable locations - who are like-minded people, who have similarly embraced the concept of organising a mutually beneficial swap, as opposed to just looking for a free holiday, is what makes home exchange such a rewarding and special experience. We have enjoyed the privilege of making some wonderful new friends through the homeechange.com community - meeting up again, both independently and through this platform, after our successful initial swaps have been completed. As members, if you are willing to invest a bit of time, trying to best target your request in order to negotiate any potential reciprocal swap - which in our case can be simultaneous or non-simultaneous - by carefully matching mutual interests and expectations, expressed in each other's listings and profiles, in your initial introduction - this can often pay unexpected dividends! It really is worth it, as it has certainly changed the way that we now mostly travel for ever!

Home Exchange is special and by far the best way to see the world. Unlike short term rentals, HEers take care of your home. After more than 30 exchanges we have met and exchanged with some wonderful new friends. Never had a bad experience. It has truly made our lives more fun
